Stage Stop at Urban Animal · Star Ranch.
Who pours the beer at Urban Animal · Star Ranch.
Urban Animal opened their southside Star Ranch taproom at 3629 Star Ranch Rd. — the second Urban Animal location, and the permanent home for the Stage Stop cart that started life as Urban Animal by Chef Eve Natasha. It is the only Stage Stop that runs daily hours. Mondays are trivia. Tuesdays are run club. Wednesdays are music-video bingo. The patio is dog-friendly seven days a week. The taproom pours their own beer plus rotating guests; the cart cooks the full Stage Stop menu plus a truck-only burnt-end taco that does not exist anywhere else. Urban Animal's beer leans clean and modern — a west-coast pale that pairs with everything, a hazy IPA that pairs with brisket, a rotating-fruit kettle sour that solves the smoked-turkey problem most BBQ menus pretend does not exist. The cart sits under a fixed awning at the south end of the patio, with a service window facing the firepit. Open daily. Closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

It is the only daily-operational Stage Stop. Urban Animal lets us run our own cart with our menu, our hours, and our chef. They pour. We feed. That is the model. The owners were the first to take the bet that a cart could live at a brewery permanently instead of cycling through food trucks every Friday — and the volume has proved them right twelve months running. Mug Club works at both counters. Their Bark Club works at ours. The dogs are members of both.
